My name is Andrea Almuna and I was born in Santiago, Chile.
I am an engineer. I have a degree in Forestry Engineering from University of Chile and I graduated in Industrial Engineering from University of Atacama.

I have experience in the mining industry.  I was working for 9 years in Codelco- Division Salvador.  I worked in planing, management and control of projects, as well as administrative tasks.
My last job, was about social impact for a close of mine "El Salvador". In 2009, I was the best female worker. In all that time, 10 years approximately, I lived in the Atacama Desert.

Currently, I am not working because last year -in 2011- I won a scholarship. Then  I moved to Santiago, now I live here. When I arrived this city, I could find many place to go, and a lot of activities for doing, every day was different and I always have activities, that is awesome!

In this time, I am studing differents topics about global bussiness. Besides, I am learning importants skills for understanding and comunicating in another language. These are important for my next plans: I would live and study in a big city in another country that people speak in English.

About me, I am a creative and optimistic person.  I love changes, I like to meet new people and to have convertations with people that have points of view opposite to mine. I love mathematics and      I can think in conceptual models, but I really enjoy to think in other fields of knowledge, like  Philosophy, Anthropology and Psychology. Also, I am interesting in Art and Literature.

When I was a child, I went to a Catholic School and I was a very good student. In that time, I loved drawing and painting. I was always reading books or writing in my notebook about my little life .When I was young, my dream was to travel around the world. I thought of visiting many places and know many people and interchange a lot things with them. Nowadays, I would have that experience.

My parents live near me. I have a sister, she is a nice person and a very good student. I am sure,  one day she will become a lawyer. I have two brothers, both are engineers too.

I am married, my husband is a mining engineer, his job is still in El Salvador. However, every weekend he travels to Santiago city. I have a daughter, she is 7 years old. She goes to school every day at 8 o´clock in the morning. My little girl is my best partner, we do her homework in the afternoon each day in a week.

On weekends, we go to the cinema and we go to many restaurants. Really we enjoy to eat exotic food. Other times, my daugther and I cook for our family. I love spending time with them.
