My favourite band is “Faith no More”. When I was seventeen, I listened them for first time but they were group from 1981. I learned about this band when I went in the first year of University at engineer school. My classmate gave me a record. This band, are an American band from California. The type of music they play is rock, mixed with funk, metal, hip hop, even experimental music with jazz, bosa, soul and pop. Totally alternative!. I like this band because they are underground, they make me remember when I was young. Still when I listened their music, I feet energy and motivation. My favorities songs are two: “Easy” and “Evidence”, but really I love all songs that Mike Patton sings. For me, he is the best!. Anytime, I have been to one live show. In 2010 with my husband, we went at the last concert in Bicentenary Stadium. We sang, we danced and we screamed for two hours during the show. It was amazing and unforgetable!

Memorable Moment

The most memorable event in my life was when my daughter  was born. She arrived on December, 2nd, 2004. That day, my husband, my-mother-in-law and I, went to a little Clinic in Copiapó City, Atacama. I was very nervous but inside myself I knew that everything was good. My little girl did not want to be born...my doctor said: "we should wait for a few hours. She is not in correctly position for to be born. You need some drugs to help her be born. On the contrary case we will to have  caesarean section”.  In that moment I felt afraid, but I said “Doctor, you must do what is necessary”. My husband and I went into the room for operation. I do not know what exactly happened there but even today, I can feel this moment as the most memorable for me. She is my little sunshine, my daughter is flower, my life. I can remember that my husband took the baby when she was born. The nurse took the first photo. I love that photo, because I remember that beautiful moment for our family for ever.

My name is Andrea Almuna and I was born in Santiago, Chile.
I am an engineer. I have a degree in Forestry Engineering from University of Chile and I graduated in Industrial Engineering from University of Atacama.

I have experience in the mining industry.  I was working for 9 years in Codelco- Division Salvador.  I worked in planing, management and control of projects, as well as administrative tasks.
My last job, was about social impact for a close of mine "El Salvador". In 2009, I was the best female worker. In all that time, 10 years approximately, I lived in the Atacama Desert.

Currently, I am not working because last year -in 2011- I won a scholarship. Then  I moved to Santiago, now I live here. When I arrived this city, I could find many place to go, and a lot of activities for doing, every day was different and I always have activities, that is awesome!

In this time, I am studing differents topics about global bussiness. Besides, I am learning importants skills for understanding and comunicating in another language. These are important for my next plans: I would live and study in a big city in another country that people speak in English.

About me, I am a creative and optimistic person.  I love changes, I like to meet new people and to have convertations with people that have points of view opposite to mine. I love mathematics and      I can think in conceptual models, but I really enjoy to think in other fields of knowledge, like  Philosophy, Anthropology and Psychology. Also, I am interesting in Art and Literature.

When I was a child, I went to a Catholic School and I was a very good student. In that time, I loved drawing and painting. I was always reading books or writing in my notebook about my little life .When I was young, my dream was to travel around the world. I thought of visiting many places and know many people and interchange a lot things with them. Nowadays, I would have that experience.

My parents live near me. I have a sister, she is a nice person and a very good student. I am sure,  one day she will become a lawyer. I have two brothers, both are engineers too.

I am married, my husband is a mining engineer, his job is still in El Salvador. However, every weekend he travels to Santiago city. I have a daughter, she is 7 years old. She goes to school every day at 8 o´clock in the morning. My little girl is my best partner, we do her homework in the afternoon each day in a week.

On weekends, we go to the cinema and we go to many restaurants. Really we enjoy to eat exotic food. Other times, my daugther and I cook for our family. I love spending time with them.
